3.1972. Mrs. Marjorie Adeney holds a special school in Highfields, Leicester for children arriving from the unrest in Uganda.

"Unrest" as a generic term: These are arrivals in UK at the expulsion of Uganda Asians by Idi Amin, Aug-Nov 1972. These would be children of UK passport-holders. 60k people of Uganda Asian origin were expelled. 30k were UK citizens. Although the expulsion order was directed at non-citizens, most of those who claimed Uganda citizenship were stripped of their passports. Five thousand or so were accepted but they too left in the last week of the expulsion on being threatened to go and dig the soil in the villages. These 5 thousand were airlifted by ICRC and taken to UNHCR refugee centres in Europe and from there dispersed to accepting countries.
