Murder on Christmas Day in Uganda; Sheikh Dr Abdul Khadir Ali Muwaya
the Leader of Shia Muslims in Uganda was shot dead on Christmas day
about 8pm at his home in Mayuge.
Sheikh Ali Muwaya was shot with three bullets in his chest and died
instantly at his family home in Buyemba.The killers are said to have
been riding on a motorbike and in donning plain clothes.
There have been some other "shoot and run" case including that of
Sheikh Abdul Karim Sentamu in Kampala and Hajj Kigejjogejjo.R.I.P to
the men of Allah!
Sheikh Muwaya was father to LC 5 Mayuge, Hajji Bongo. He was known for
being very developmental-having constructed schools, medical centres
and being a Muslim counsellor. Right now there is no knowing who was
behind his murder; if it was the work of common heartless criminals,
terror actors but whoever did it didn't receive blessings for acting
as such on a holy day, moreover.
We call upon security to follow up the matter to the end as well as
heightening surveillance to prevent loss of life of any Ugandan.
Deepest condolences go to the family and acquaintances upon this
tragic heart break.
