Followers of Ugandans at Heart (UAH), a Facebook platform, have accused the Uganda government of shutting it down.
According to the page's administrators, on December 2, they received "a series of spam complaints, coordinated by regime agents using multiple false Facebook accounts."
"Since these false accounts were belonging to people that were members of this platform, Facebook decided to close down the group and asked the admin to contact them if [they] had any questions," posted Tom Voltaire Okwalinga, one of the administrators.
The page, with over 67,000 members, was critical of government policies and President Museveni's longevity in power. The group, however, also has a website, which is still operational.
