I don't know what to make of this "peace talks" being slated for mid next month over the return of Lord Mayor Lukwago, but I think the Central Government is seeking a graceful way out of this untenable mess it created.
Well, there's the mention of the dreaded "donor community" and some serious cash in peril, but there should come a time in Uganda today where supposedly clear-headed leaders like Rugunda should have the guts to tell Museveni off.
Luwakgo was being banished from his elected post because, as a Muganda Muslim leading the capital city, he was seen to be growing some "national antlers" that threatened to overstep the Visionary's span.
