{UAH} Employ young people to foster development, says Museveni

Members,

President Museveni has urged local authorities and companies in Buyende district to employ more youth if they are to foster development in the area.
The President was officiating at the opening of new classroom blocks at the only government-aided secondary school in Kidera village Buyende District.
The school has a population of 760 students in both O'level and A'level.
President Museveni commended the youths from Alps Group Construction Company who completed the ten class rooms, admission block, the library block, and a laboratory and four latrines.
"I really appreciate what these young people have done for the community. All these are NRM products and this is part of our achievements," he said.

The president sees the great role that younger people can do in development and urges employers to give youth chance. This would be a good piece of advice if it applied to all. This is a contradiction considering that very old Museveni is denying younger people to take the presidency which could foster national development. He has seen and admired what young people can do, isn't that a good evidence that the country can attain faster development if relatively younger people took the leadership? President Museveni, please to practice what you preach if you really mean what you say!

President Museveni (1986), " Africa's problem is presidents that overstay in power."
