{UAH} INTELLIGENCE AND ELOQUENCE: WHY I HAVE GROWN TO LIKE AND RESPECT MUSEVENI - A REVELATION

Obote could have been the most gifted of Uganda's leaders in Mudomo English but intellectually and putting intellect to work - however convoluted they sometimes appear -Museveni beats all former presidents. Museveni's ever present weakness that many Ugandans probably see but deliberately ignore is being nervous. Museveni is forever nervous (not to be confused with fear) in public and can never ever deliver easily decipherable substance in a conversational speech. Every clear speech he has given or will continue to deliver are written speeches - even tho he often hit potholes along reading them.

And Museveni is never a good listener. Ask him a question and see how he fast forgets it and begins to rummage the bushes with irrelevant histories and proverbs but each time he does this it means he is trying to remember both the question he has just been asked while at the same time trying hard to unearth an answer. For some weird reasons, he will mentally run around but will come down with some lame explanation that the questioner will have no choice but accept.

Museveni is not good at any language either including his own Kinyankole. He fights each language he tries to communicate in. Dude  lived long in Tanzania but never emerged with any better comprehensible Swahili. For some reasons, exposures to many language environments appear to have done him more harm than good.

You think Obote was an eloquent speaker? Yes I agree with you but Obote too had intellectual deficiencies that he was good at sugarcoating with his gifted eloquence in spoken English. Today you can play audio or video interviews of Obote and the one thing you will quickly notice is his arrogance. Obote thot he was the best at everything and if there was or has been any world leader who took his honorary doctorate seriously and to task to prove that it could have as well been well academically deserved, it is Obote. Obote made the world believe his "Dr" prefix wasnt out of the ordinary but that he could have still obtained it academically and he constantly proved this by giving long smooth speeches punctuated with arrogant attacks of his opponents. Ssemogere has never lost his status as the most resilient presidential punching bag. You know when Obote startes a sentence with "My brother Ssemogerere here" that it will not be a good sentence at the end. He will thumb Ssemogerere several times during a speech in the face in broad daylight leaving him a laugh-rubble in Rwakasisis's yard.

As for the buffoon Amin, he hardly delivered anything cogent but threats only - threats that turned out to be empty and eventually brought him down and Amin wasnt fluent in any international language either including Swahili and neither in his Kakwa language but absolutely fluent in Luganda. He often sorted his Swahili words to make sense.

On a serious note, Binaisa was the most cogent even tho his government was hardly felt. Problem, like Obote was that he tried as much to prove his intellectual prowess and attempted dirty politics without knowing the two are water and oil. They got him, hands deep in the dirty politics jar and threw him away like he never existed.

Tito was a noner. Dude was said to have been forcefully pulled by the ears and tail to be president. Emerging snoops was that he was abundantly against Bazilio's undoing of Obote government and against the coup as such. He was dead at both ends of eloquence or public speaking and intelligence.

Which brings me back to Museveni. Trust me, I am now for Museveni by all accounts and means and successfully undone the mentality of serving too long from my mind. Anyone who tries to undo him will fail btu does he really have that vision he always claims to have for the country? You bet he does. Look at infrastructure development in the country over the years from the 70s to date and you will know dude is indeed a visionary. Problem is, many Ugandans want to see or realize these visions overnight. It took several decades to destroy the country and we should exec several decades more to reconstruct/rebuild.

And why the hurry? Greed by everyone except Museveni. Unfortunately there are two areas of greed - one is power and the other is purely financial. Museveni isnt interested in the later but the former. When one has or owns power there is no need running after finances. It comes by default.

Museveni is indeed a piratical economist. The rest had nothing to offer in this manner except flaming politics. Hours and hours of composing and p=singing praises to our past leaders, too, were essentially responsible for creating and unleashing the beasts in them. I said in an earlier post that not even the Mozart or Celina Dion could compose a song that comfortably fits the name Museveni but successfully compose one that the man likes then watch him growing lethal horns. Amin holds the record in number of songs praing him but look what he done to our Uganda.

he pissed on her.

"Je suis Museveni....!"
