THE former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi who is also the MP for Kinkizi West in Kanungu district has said that the year 2015 will be wonderful for Ugandans.
 
Mbabazi made the remarks December 28, at his country home in Nyakinoni sub county where he hosted over 500 members of International Community of the the Banyakigezi (ICOB).
 
The dinner was in honour of the good work they have done in transforming the lives of the people in the region.
 
"I wish all people of Uganda a prosperous 2015. I predict it will be one of the wonderful years in the history of the country," Mbabazi said.

Mbabazi has also sent out to a cross section of people Christmas cards he signed as National Resistance Movement secretary general.
 
The guest included Governor Bank of Uganda, Prof. Tumusiime Mutebile and the chairman of ICOB, Dr. Peter Ngategize. Others were Members of Parliament Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, David Bahati, and Elizabeth Karungi.
 
Mbabazi however observed that the Banyakigezi was non-political and therefore did not want to talk about politics.

He hailed the work done by the International Community of the Banyakigezi ever since its inception in 2009 and urged all people hailing from Kigezi to join the group because their contribution is immensely important.
 
Dr. Ngategize said ICOB's emphasis is based on promoting the maternal and child health in the region so that pregnant women cannot die when delivering babies.
 
He said that the organization had secured sh 50 million to procure a generator for Rugyeyo Community Hospital in Rugyeyo Sub County as one way of promoting maternal health.
 
The International Community of Banyakigezi held a one week long activities which included a gorilla marathon, football match, joint inter religious prayers, and tourism promotions
