Folks;

Stuart Scott was the definition of resilient bravery; we watched wither away every day as he continued to tell us about touch downs, home runs, slam dunks and meteoric dashes.

He spoke about his cancer, and how he planned to attack it until the last day. And he did just that.

I sat two seats away from Stuart at the funeral of the late CBS legend, Ed Bradley. We chatted for a brief moment, not exchanging numbers for future contacts, but recognizing that our journeys had crossed paths due to cancer that had taken away Ed.

Psychologists say you can tell a man's character in the first 5 seconds of your meeting. I think Stuart was a forthright man.

RIP, Stuart; you carried the cross with class for many who went before you and millions who will come after you.
