Basic Function The PD fellow will work on a project funded by DAFM with the objective of improving the accuracy of saleable yield prediction from the automated beef carcass classification systems in use in Ireland, possibly including other measurements, equipment and variables. Collaborators in the project include the Irish Cattle and Breeding Federation (ICBF), the manufacturer of the video image analysis (VIA) automated grading equipment and beef processors.
