{UAH} Compare Kenya with our collapsed Uganda Railways here

rail tracks on the colllaped Kampala-Kamwenge-Kyenjojo-Kasese

View of well maintained rail tracks at Kamwenge Railway Station, in Tooro, in 1954. Kamwenge Railway Station in Tooro region is now a goat grazing ground. In 1986, the NRA/M Govt found the Kampala-Kamwenge operating, cheaply ferrying passengers, cows, coffee, food, agro-produce and other goods, to and from Tooro. At Kamwege, the line used to continue to Kasese to transport copper and other agricultural produce, not any more

Soil buried rail tracks of the Kampala – Kasese line which corruption and impunity brought down. The adverse impact of corruption on Uganda's collapsed and decayed railway infrastructure cannot be ignored.

The collapsed Uganda Railways (URA)''s trains used to bring national pride and a sense of belonging to Uganda.. Before the British administrators departed, they built and left in a place, properly functioning railway lines and stations in Uganda for cheap transportation of goods and passengers
