Convention Organizing Committees:

Article 8.1: Appointment of Committees: Except for the Constitution Review Committee, the Electoral Commission and the Rules and Disciplinary Committee, the Executive Committee, by resolution adopted by a majority of the full Executive Committee, may from time to time designate one or more special or ad hoc committees.
 
UNAA Executive Committee:
Article 6:
There shall be an Executive Committee which shall be comprised of a universally elected President, a universally elected Vice President, a universally elected Secretary, a universally elected Treasurer, and three appointed Directors of Development, Finance and Communications.
 
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and shall supervise the business and affairs of the Association. He/she shall execute, with any other proper Officer under whose jurisdiction such activity falls, certificates of membership, if any, leases, contracts, or other instruments which may be lawfully executed on behalf of the Association.
 
UNAA Board of Trustees:
Article 5: Shall be the custodians of the history, records, mission and purpose of UNAA and provide oversight over the Executive Committee of the Association.
 
UNAA Council:
Article 7: Shall be the Legislative body of the Association, and approve the Association's annual budget and all extra-budgetary expenditures exceeding a threshold amount that will be set from time to time by the UNAA Council.

About UNAA New Orleans 2015
 
The 27th Annual UNAA Convention and Trade Expo will take place over three days; September 4 - 6 2015 in the Central Business District (CBD) of the historic American city of New Orleans. The premier global networking event for the Ugandan Diaspora attracts more than 3,000 Ugandan Americans and Friends with program and forums including the Trade & Investment Forum, Technology Forum, Health Forum, Education Forum, Political Forum, as well as a forum on Intergenerational relationships between immigrants and their children born in the Diaspora, etc.
 
The Saturday Dinner Cruise is a popular culinary event complete with a dance to both live performances by popular artists and DJ music - aboard a magnificent marine vessel sailing into the spectacular Mississippi River sunset. Proceeds from the Fashion Show Auction during the Sunday Gala Dinner will go towards the Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program.
