Judge Orders Evicted Hoima Residents to Return

The residents in Kijyayo village Munteme parish are part of the 50,000 resident feuding over a 1500 hectare piece of land claimed by property mogul, Prince Herbert Rwakiswaza Kimera, who died early this month. The struggle which involves 10 villages started in 2002 after Kimera, leased off the land to an Indian Sugar company, for the establishment of a cane plantation and a sugar factory.
