Mrs Mbabazi blocked from NRM women's league conference - National
The chairperson for the NRM women's league, Ms Jacqueline Mbabazi has allegedly been denied entry into an on going NRM women's league conference at Imperial Royale hotel according to reports from the venue.
Our reporter at the scene narrates that while the rest of the "invited" guests are being cleared and ushered in; the wife to embattled ex-prime minister (Amama Mbabazi) has been denied entry. Our reporter adds that she is now seated outside and has not talked to anyone as yet.
Three journalists including one from Daily Monitor and another from NTV have been detained by the Special Forces command (SFC) officers for talking to Mrs Mbabazi without clearance. Reports indicate that those who had taken pictures of her in seclusion are being ordered to delete them.
Meanwhile Mrs Mbabazi still has no access to the conference, our reporter talked to her and she said that she is waiting for an explanation from President Museveni as to why she has been denied access to a conference she is definitely supposed to be part of.
