{UAH} Sam Omala joins Dembe Fm
Folks;
Depending on how he acquits himself in his new gig, SSP Sam Omala can make a world of difference in his radio audience.
His name is forever attached to the crackdown on the walk-to-work protests, but somehow, Omala remained personally unscathed by the violent nature of the crackdown.
As a panelist in the morning show - I don't how popular the show is - Omala will be able to communicate with the audience everyday, and hopefully field some questions and offer some explanations about police work, especially why his boss, the indefatigable IGP is always present at every crime scene.

On whether the radio job would affect his police job, Mr Omala says; "This will not in any way affect my police job, in fact, it is going to make it even easier because Dembe Fm is listened to by mostly young people who are always misled into riots. This time l have a platform to address them and dissuade them from riotous acts and crime generally.
Mr Omala is a senior Superintendent of police, who shot to prominence at the heat of the walk-to-work protests in 2011.
He teams up with Ruth Kalibala Bwanika, Shafiq Kaima and Mzee Muteweta.
