{UAH} CONGAT5ULATE SAI's RITAH

Fellow country men and women,

In SAI's first attempt at sponsoring women education our result has scored bigger than expected. Ritah, a first year of Business Admin at Gulu Univ is the only one in her Accounting class who has never had a brush with mere bookkeeping in high school; so felt very nervous when I pressed her into going for Accounting and majoring on a focused career as certified professional Accountant.

She was completely green in this field while all around her knew terminologies in Accounting that she had no clue about. This made her more nervous and seemingly doomed.

It wasnt easy with me and this girl as she almost quit and go into teaching - which was her preferred choice.

After holding tight on my ropes not letting her lose her cool she persevered and know what? She did not only start to like Business Admin. She was in TOP 5 of her Accounting and Business Admin in her latest exams.

I dunked a 1,75 liter bottle of Appleton Jamaican Rum alone to celebrate her excellence - didnt tell her.

Entering her second year with a confidence larger than life, Ritah now wants a laptop as they are required to type all course work and assignment. That is no biggie. SAI is soon to send her money to purchase one from Jumia.

She is all smiles on all engines full throttle knowing she will one day soon be an Certified Accountant.

Initiatives for Women's Education and Legal Aid

When we educate a girl, everything will change. When we educate a girl, we do not only educate a mother but a nation. Women's access to the educational in Africa believes that while women are disadvantaged in this vital area of human resource development, women's disenfranchisement in education may not be the direct result of economic difficulties, as often suggested. Rather, this disenfranchisement is more likely to result from a complex interaction between economic factors, cultural and societal norms, and stereotypes of gender roles. Conjointly, these factors have direct and indirect influences on government initiatives in education and training, career advice, and familial support networks.
