Folks;
The intent of this law beats me.
Where is the responsibility of the drivers, most of whom are known to flaunt traffic laws by speeding or driving under the influence? This proposal is silent of the culpable figures in the 10% increase fatal pedestrian-auto encounters.
But I guess the threat of being slapped with a 2-year sentence for "attempted suicide" when all you did was merely jaywalking, might force folks to look for those fading Zebra Crossings.
