Masao Horibe Sandy Pentland Patient Privacy Rights (PPR) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2015 Louis D. Brandeis Privacy Awards, Dr. Masao Horibe and Dr. Alex Pentland. Dr. Horibe is the Chairman, Specific Personal Information Protection Commission, Government of Japan, and Professor Emeritus, Hitotsubashi University. He has made substantial contributions to protection of personal data and privacy for over 50 years. Dr. Pentland is the Toshiba Professor, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Co-founder, MIT Media Lab, and Advisor to the United Nations Secretary General's Office and the World Economic Forum. In 2012, Forbes named him one of the "seven most powerful data scientists in the world."
