Why is the United States suddenly interested in the corrupt conduct of FIFA officials, leading to a mass arrests today? 

The US alleges that FIFA is corrupt through-and-through, and that for the last 25 years, FIFA has pocked millions of dollars in bribery to award World Cup hosting privileges.

Now, think about this allegation for a moment: for a full quarter-of-a-century, FIFA has been receiving kickbacks in order to award countries the rights to host World Cups. 

The first logical question is: How many times has the US hosted the World Cup in the last 25 years? 

Secondly, who in the US was ditching bribery FIFA in order to land the hosting rights? And, thirdly, what has US done to those US officials who bribed FIFA?

Methinks US is after FIFA because FIFA sent the 2018 World Cup to Russia and the 2022 to Qatar. Nungu and more nungu.
