Dear Mr Okelld,
This is advance notice that on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August, as part
of a weekend of Prudential RideLondon cycling events, certain roads in
east, central and southwest London and Surrey will be closed to
traffic.
On Saturday, the 8 mile 'FreeCycle' will take place in central London.
On Sunday, the 'Handcycle Classic' and 'Classic' races, starting on
The Mall, and the '100', starting at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park,
will take place. These races will travel via central and west London,
through Surrey Hills and return through west London, finishing on The
Mall.
There will be bridge and road closures from early morning. Road users
are advised to plan journeys well in advance. Many bus routes will be
on diversion and stations along the route may get busy at certain
times. More information will be on our website closer to the time.
