There is a well-documented history and witnesses to prove that several old preserved vehicles and horses in Lubiri were killed by bullets and bazookas from attacking troops of the Uganda Army, during the historic 24th May 1966 attack of the Kabaka's royal palace on Mengo Hill, Kampala.

King Muteesa II of Buganda Kingdom obtained had obtained his horse-riding and cavalry skills from Cambridge University and was sharing them with others. Ssekabaka Muteesa II, was a graduate of Cambridge University, Magdalene College. He was a seasoned Cantabrigian competitor and member of the Cambridge University Riding Club, which still exists to-date, with members from different backgrounds.
2.First C.M.S seminary at Mukono, which became Bishop Tucker Theological college. Bishop Tucker ordained six Ganda deacons in 1893 and three priests by 1896. Buganda's Kyaggwe County Chief (Ssekiboobo) the late Hamu Mukasa of Nabuti, Mukono-Kyaggwe, gifted the private lands on which Bishop Tucker Theological Colleague (BTTC), was established in 1913, and named after the legendary Bishop Tucker. BTTC was transformed into Mukono Christianity University. Land is the main factor of production and it on land that buildings stand; many thanks to Ssekiboobo Hamu Mukasa and the people of Buganda Kingdom for gifting these Kyaggwe lands which were used and are still used for a noble cause. Bishop Tucker and Kamu Mukasa, are also credited for promoting education of people, reduction in illiteracy rates and the introduction into Uganda, medical drugs to treat sick natives people suffering from a range of tropical diseases.
