{UAH} Arrest of John Omeja, former NASA Officer

Folks;

I've just learnt about the arrest of a family member and friend, uncle John Oboth Omeja. 

Mr. Omeja was picked up from his home village of Okwira, in West Budama last night by CMI/ISO agents. He's being held somewhere in Magamaga.

During Obote II, Mr. Omeja served as the western Intelligence officer, based in Mbarara. 

One of his chief assignments was to make sure that Museveni's family was safe and shielded from possible revenge harassment or attacks by UNLF soldiersor UPC operatives, during Museveni's rebel war against the government. In this regard, he accomplished that mission with aplomb. 

After the fall of Obote II, Uncle John fled the country, linking up with other fleeing soldiers and government types in Nairobi, from where they joined Obote in Lusaka. 

Meanwhile, his two younger brothers had remained in Uganda and continued working in government: Peter Simon Osamaai remained Town Clerk, Entebbe, until he was retrenched about 10 years ago; the other brother, Joseph Owora Omeja, was with URA, as assistant Director until his death in 2000.

Uncle John was lured back to Uganda in December 1999 by none other than President Museveni, on the plausible cover that the president was pleased with John's role in protecting the president's parents during the rebel wars.

Unfortunately, upon crossing into Uganda, via Malaba, John was arrested immediately and detained at Maluku prison, in Mbale, on the nonsensical allegations that he was a leader of FOBA - Force Obote Back Army- the concocted rebel outfit.

I happened to arrive in Uganda two days after John's arrest. I had a meeting with Noble Mayombo, and uncle John was set free the following day.

Over the years, Uncle John has been eking a living in the village, running a small-scale poultry farm and doing some farming. He dabbled into politics briefly, serving as a Security Officer for UPC president, starting with Mama Miria Obote, all through the first half of Olara Otunnu's term.

His arrest over the weekend  was on allegations that he was plotting to overthrow the government!

Folks, let's I need your help in securing Uncle John's release. Help me locate where he's being detained.  Uncle John is diabetic, is going blind and he's generally in poor health.
