Our dear president should now be able to see quite clearly why the long stay of leaders in power distorts the political scenario. The recent panic by his IGP Kaihura into making illegal partisan pronouncements against Mbabazi trying to stop his political aspirations shows the extent to which the president's perceived likes or dislikes begin to supercede the law of the land as various minions trample all over themselves as they attempt to appease their boss.
The President should note that the very ills pointed out to him about the EC have already been manifested in the verbal gymnastics of its officers as they attempted to pander to what they thought were his wishes of trying to frustrate Mbabazi's presidential aspirations. If our president still has the much advertised nationalism, then it is time he came out and disbanded this tainted body and allowed a neutral, untainted fsirly appointed one to replace it.
Lastly, when you find that their are people screaming themselves hoarse that you should not be democratically competed with after you have held power for 30 years, then it is a wakeup call that you have gone full circle and are becoming the much hated dinosaurs of yesteryear! Will the real Museveni heed the country's painful cry was he always this person we now see?
