{UAH} The TVO saga and the pursuit of yet another term!

Fellow Ugandans,

This entire TVO-saga is a fuss and a decoy, designed specifically to take Ugandan bloggers off target and message, so they could remain silenced-and cowered regarding the 800 pound Gorilla" in the room -which begs the obvious and inescapable question as to "What is the state of Democracy in the country and "why -still -yet seek" for another term in office Mr. President !

Have you seen the state of poverty in the nation lately - are you seriously giving villagers bicycles as emergency vehicles after 30 years in office? The person you started the 30 year journey with Mr. President, the one who questioned our prowess at every turn of our lives and aspirations as a nation would laugh you off the seat! For Museveni, the stellarly fighter, liberator, writer and nationalist -had an unmistakable pragmatism about him-which was his most impressive and selling characteristic to all Ugandans.

All other personal attacks are meant to detract us from pointing out-what has gone totally askew in the last 30 years. I pray and hope that in the states' over zealousness to silence any opposition to "yet another term" - we don't sully institutions that People have placed their unlimited hope and trust in. The Courts and the Police - ought to be above the foray of Political Partisanship - just as you have asked the many kingdoms to refrain from Politics, It is our hope and expectation, that you will not use the Courts, Police force or any other force for that matter to put out the spirit you once rekindled in all Ugandans - that of self determination and hope for a true Democratic Republic.

Freedom of speech among other rights for ordinary citizens is an ideal that matters more to Ugandans today than ever, the only other thing it parallels is the temporary lull of security being enjoyed along with the current diminished ability to feed their families using their fertile land.

As you insist on pursuing the inevitable -please find a way of easing us into this train ride -those who look upon it favourably and unfavourably alike. So that the nation is not made to witness a state of self perpetuated anarchy of tear gas and unlawful arrests.

Tendo Kaluma.
