'IN THE PICUTRE: Teenagers parading before guests at the Apolo Hotel Swimming pool. Mrs Obote is seated (centre).'

'The Lint Marketing Board has staged a fabrics show, displaying teenage fabric designs. The aim of the show was to promote consumption of Uganda cotton.
The show was held at the Apolo Hotel.
Teenage boys and girls paraded in their fashions whlie the Police Band provided music. The designs were made by Mrs. Sulti Karim, and the collection was made from Uganda cotton textiles manufactured by the three textile mills.
Sponsors included Nyanza Textile Industries, Mulco Textiles, African Textile Mills and Uganda Bata Shoe Company. COntrbutions came from the East African Distilleries, Nile Breweries, Uganda Breweries and Lake Victoria Bottling Company.'
