A huge diplomatic and security standoff occurred in Kasarani between Kenya and the US away from the cameras. Americans insisted Ruto must not sit in the meeting. Kenya protocol officers insisted he had to otherwise they would lose their jobs. When Americans said No, the Kenyans called uhuru presidential security but Americans insisted No. When Kenyan officials insisted on having Ruto, the Secret Service declared the function a US event and ordered all uhuru security out. Those with keen eyes may have noticed uhuru body guards were missing throughout the event. They were sent to the basement. But the problem was not solved. With uhuru body guards out, Americans insisted Ruto could be in but on condition he sits on the backdrow behind uhuru. Kenyans again pleaded they would lose their jobs.
