{UAH} Kampala Matatu Transport System return 84 million dollars yearly

It is amazing how most taxi drivers and conductors remain endemically poor but they can generate so much wealth to a few taxi owners.

This is a very unjust system - laduma how much does a bus driver earn in sweden not 25000 swedish crowns (~1,000,000) monthly

To solve this impasse taxi drivers and conductors need improve welfare and cover in terms of

a. medical care facilities

b. Insurance cover

c. Pension

d. and NSSF saving

This is the way and manner European workers have accumulated wealth we in Africa can only dream of. Our people have no cover at al and they keep on spending.

KCCA data puts the number of matatus at over 10000 units

This transate into 84 million dollars. minus fuel, KCCA 120000 shs fees and maintenance bills /cost of the vechicles. a Matatu has a 3 year life span.

does government have an idea how to use that money too develop a comprehensive transport system in Northern Uganda.
