What is Deputy President William Ruto's political game plan? Is he plotting to run in 2017? Sources told Corridors the hustler is building a serious financial war chest. After Tanzanian CCM party picked Raila Odinga's ally John Magufuli for upcoming presidential poll, sources said the Cord leader's eyes are now on Uganda. It is said Raila is plotting to endorse a Ugandan opposition figure to get back at President Yoweri Museveni at the ballot because the Ugandan leader endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013. With the hope of taking over in 2017, Raila believes the East African Community will be ready for takeoff. Museveni is regarded highly by Jubilee but has had a cold relationship with Raila.

A chief officer at the Kisumu government who prides himself as the "chief officer of all the chief officers" is at war with his colleagues and junior staff over his arrogance and high appetite for bribes. The officer, who has left a trail of scandals in his former work stations, is said to be under the radar of the anti-corruption officers over alleged past and current corruption cases.

One of the three shortlisted candidates for Water ministry PS is reportedly canvassing for the position through a National Intelligence Service operative, a State House official and and a man at the Office of the President. The official in the ministry has been busy meeting his associates to ensure he is appointed out of the three nominees, all from the ministry. The appointment is scheduled to be made soon.
