{UAH} WAKISO, KAMPALA LEFT OUT IN CONSTITUENCIES!

Brothers and sisters, 38 new constituencies are said to have been tabled in parliament where Wakiso District which is over two million people was left out so was Kampala which is over one and half million people.
How can Wakiso with over two million people has one woman MP when some districts with a woman MP are just 100,000 people? How can Kampala has one woman MP when under NRM constitution Kampala Urban Authorities or divisions are districts?
Do you know that some municipalities like Ntung'amo, Bushenyi, Ishaka, Rukungiri, are just around 15,000-3,0000? Then Makindye Ssaabagabo with 300,000 is not a municipality yet and only one constituency? The same with Kira which is over 300,000? Mbarara Municipal Council which is 250,000 with even municipal divisions, and Makindye Ssaabagabo which is 300,000, is designed to have only three municipal divisions other than at least six divisions?
How can you rush in Bukomansimbi, Gomba and others and you leave out Greater Kampala?
Is it for political reasons because Greater Kampala is said to be predominantly opposition. That is also an exaggerated lie because President Yoweri Museveni did not perform badly in Greater Kampala in 2011 elections.
We should not be reminded of old days in 1970, 1979 and 1980 when more districts and constituencies were created in only areas where UPC was assured of support however scarce the population was, and where DP was strong, were left out even if the population there was more.
We should be patriotic and statesmen and women in dealing with matters, but not politicians and partisans, for that matter.
Worse still some of our MPs and local government leaders in Greater Kampala including Kampala and Wakiso are opposed to these changes. Some have come out to oppose, others do it quietly.
We should ensure that such category of MPs are not returned to 10th parliament unless they mend their strategies and tactics.
Let leaders of all walks of life, i.e. spiritual, political, cultural, mobilizers, moderators, collectively fight for our rights as Greater Kampala.
