Robert Mugabe, president sedan 1987, buades ut i Zimbabwes parlament när han på tisdagen skulle hålla ett tal om tillståndet i landet.

Ledamöter för oppositionspartiet MDC häcklade 91-åringen för Zimbabwes allt sämre ekonomi och gjorde narr av honom under talet, som varade mindre än en halvtimme. FN uppskattar att 16 procent av befolkningen - 1,5 miljoner zimbabwier - kommer att svälta senare i år och behöva livsmedelshjälp.

När Mugabe presenterade regeringens planer på stöd till jordbruksektorn och uppmuntran av privata initiativ, skrek en parlamentsledamot: "Och hur bli det med de nya jobben?" En annan anklagade regeringen för korruption.
