Did you read the article by L'Kitgum?

I believe the rocks right from deep in South Sudan down to Pader contain enormous wealth.

How can the people in that region benefit from these natural resources and what strategy is there from the people in the region to improve on the livelihood of the most poor - in terms of Health, Education, Shelter and feed provisions using our Africa abilities?

Talk about your own strategies to solve the impasse.

There is need to map the entire physical geography of Karamoja region up to the South Sudan boarder.  I have known of this since Idi Amins time.  I had a friend who worked in the region and told same stories.

The mineral potential is just a small part of riches one can find in this part of world. The grass lands can produce enough food animals and birds.

In fact, if it is possible the government would set up two big technical schools one in

a. Mineralogy tech (diploma)

b. Auto-Mecho, Electro engineering technicians (diploma)

this will be in addition to tradition cattle related trade in cattle food processing - the technology is so abundant certificate training will turn Karamonj into business wizards.

all high school leavers would do a two year course before extending to University level.

But the road from Kitodo via Kitgum to Atiak on wards to Oraba/ Koboko  need urgent redemption to sitimulate interntal and external trade with Congo, CAR .

I have advocated for the following, concerning land rights after very long observation and I keep repeating these same things in this forum;

a.That Lango, Acoli, Bunyoro,West Nile form Land Boards i.e Acoli/Lango land Board to defend the rights of native rights

All three go a long way to defend the defenceless when it comes to land issues. Itlessens nation wide conflicts.

However and what I have learnt is that Ugandans are so politicised. making a realistic step back is almost impossible. Very few Acoli or Langi want to use the words federal or and rights since these are a associated with Mornachism.

When it come to foreigners, you fears are misplaced. My children are born in sweden. To them all what is Ugandan is very foreign and strange to them.

That is the nature of " a feeling of a place". We have to find a formula that works to develop Uganda atthe earliest possible opportunity.

Uganda consitution does not allow foreigners to own land.

Virtually all major road works engineering projects in East Africa and in Uganda in particural are being undertaken by foreign companies european or asians.

There is no single dam which is being constructed by an African not least a Ugandan in the East and Central African region!

In Buganda a bastion of all vices and trade - the most maginficinet estate at Kigo is being built by China. slap of shame at Buganda kingdom!

 Moreover National Housing Construction Corporation has failed to set up a single estate for people in slums, Buganda or Acoli villages.

Uganda need a strategy and I think George can support me on this one. He is an Asian resident.

Ugandans are very friendly people and we should help Vietnamese, Koreans, Philippines and some few Chinese and Indians to settle in Key Towns of Adjumani, Nimule, Yumbe , Kotido, Namutumba, Bugiri ,Iganga Etc.

a population of 5000 East Asian with communities of 250 people is a good start.

This mix of Ugandans and Asians  is not new, very good and healthy for cultural, spiritual, environmental and business growth
