{UAH} Uganda Supreme Court declares refund of bride price unconsitutitonal

Folks;

Why on earth should it take a whole supreme court for us to accept that this nonsense of demanding a return of bride price is too primitive a culture to be practiced in this day and age!

Mifumi Project, a wonderful civil rights organization started and headed by a great Jap girl named, Atuk Turner, fought unrelentingly, and won this landmark case. It's up to the government now to educate all Ugandans about the impact of this case, because there's no turning back. 

If we want to be considered civilized, and expect to be treated as equals the  world over, me must drop this primitively archaic, and socially abominable practice of treating the girl-child as a profitable property.
