{UAH} Urban and Infrastructure Development Conference 14th .15th October

Forumists

Uganda for 30 years has been scoring 5 -7% growth albeit with nothing to show in ground. The fact that there is an expanding class  well fixed to super markets spreading in Ugandas' dirty and filty towns shows the expansion in marginal propensity to consume as a result of growing disposal iincomes.

To make sure that 5 -7% growth will reflect in all social strata, the state has to come in and plan human settlements; houses, public transportm, public school, children care, within respective communities so that Ugandans as it is in Kampala do not grow economically but remain largely slum and wetland confined as frogs !

There is a lot of milk and food from Ankole and Kigezi being consumed but   in Uganda towns by the same regions remains totally typical poor villages.

In a word, economic growth and expansion without infrastrcuture planning and growth is as good as no growth at all.

City Planning is the largest job creator. Further still and given the status of our filthy towns and cities changing the status quo will bring the most wanted social transformation rich and poor will benefit from.

Read below to see some of the sectors.

Unbelievably agricultural grwoth and development is genetically interlinked to town growth - milk from Mbarara is sold in Kampala not Kabale!
