Mr. Okurut,
Quite correctly so. It is my understanding too. However, when one goes media then there is reason to stoop to
check the real going. Going public pressurizes. So, there is reason to stoop to observe the motive too: what makes
the blood pressure suddenly  go Hell and stuff?!

Gaumoy Nockrach,

It is not news to have husband and wife belonging to different political camps, in fact that is true democracy! We have some examples in Uganda, Musumba in Kamuli is FDC big weight while her husband is NRMer.

I wouldn't want to speculate on what informs Madam Aisha's decisions or way of approach; but one thing I notice is that Omar did not oppose her from serving in NRM camp while he is in opposition, I am sure their living room must be a good place to stay to listen how they argue their policies.

Funny things happen today. I don't know what to make of this. In some subliminal ways
there is this feeling that the madame is thinking about her own position, focusing on her own
office than than the husbands ambition. Which is not a bad thing.

Problem is when she goes public in a style which could be misperceived as threat or blackmail.

I reckond they already discussed this within the family so she did not need to come out in a best blackmail style

Former Kampala Resident Commissioner Aisha Kabanda has said she will not campaign for her husband, Haji Omar Dawood Kalinge who has declared his intentions to contest for the presidency.
"I know him as a very good husband and great speaker but how this translates into national leadership is a totally different issue. He should have instead opted for a parliamentary seat which I would have supported," Kabanda told New Vision in an exclusive interview
