Russia, Cuba, Emirates consider making big transport hub in Cuba

NEW YORK, September 28. /TASS/. Russia, Cuba and the United Arab Emirates consider a project on making a big transport hub in Cuba, the Kremlin's press service said in documents related to the visit of President Vladimir Putin to New York, where he will participate in the UN General Assembly's meeting.

On the sidelines of the meeting, he will have a meeting with Cuba's President Raul Castro.

"The countries consider a large-scale trilateral project, featuring Russia, Cuba and the United Arab Emirates, on organisation of a big transport hub, which will include modernisation of the Mariel sea port and construction of a modern international airport and a cargo terminal on the basis of an aerodrome in San Antonio de lost Banos," the documents read.
