{UAH} Rwanda: destruction of a hotel in Kigali

In Rwanda, a fire Assinapol Rwigara owned hotel, a wealthy businessman and former financial Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), the ruling party, was destroyed and operations continued Saturday and Sunday. According to the authorities, the building did not comply with construction standards.

Diane Rwigara, the daughter of the late businessman Assinapol Rwigara told the BBC that the Mayor of the City of Kigali Fidele Ndayisaba had said at a meeting held Thursday, September 10 with right holders and its services were examined all the documents they submitted.

Ms. Rwigara added that City Hall services have not notified the family that they would proceed with the destruction.

The Mayor of the City of Kigali, Fidele Ndayisaba contacted by BBC Africa has refused to comment on the case.
