{UAH} ELECTIONS IN KYADDONDO SOUTH POSTPONED TO TOMORROW.
Brothers and sisters, Kyaddondo South/ Makindye Ssaabagabo
Municipality Registrar , Charles Settebere has postponed NRM party
primaries of flag bearers for MP to tomorrow morning.
He says that, he had been dispatched only ballot papers for 34
polling stations out of 56 stations in the constituency.
But he agreed with me and the constituency NRM Chairperson Geoffrey
Kiwanuka, that, if the aspirants make an undertaking, there were
enough ballot papers for distribution in all the polling stations
since not all have ever been used.
However this was opposed by Frank Kyazze, the outgoing flag bearer who
stood in 2006 and 2011 and lost and he was supported by the Registrar,
Mr. Ssettebere.
The other aspirant, Paul Ssekiziyivu, who is on kidnap charges and on
remand, was not present but was represented by his agent.
In my view, all these were excuses. l had mobilized the entire
constituency and voters were at polling stations by 6.00 am. Fearing
my victory, they had to plot a postponement because Mr. Kyazze has
said that he does not mind even if it is postponed to January next
year.
l call upon our supporters, who are ordinary residents of Kyaddondo
South, tired of a flag bearer who can lead them to victory in general
elections, and those for a clean leadership with a clean record, to
come in big numbers tomorrow and make a statement. As the Romans say:
Voice Populais, Voice Dei (The Voice of the people is the voice of
God. Insha Allah, we shall make it.
