Print the exam papers outside Kenya - MP
BY LAMECK BARAZA
October 27, 2015The KCSE and KCPE exams will only be credible if papers are printed outside the country, Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo has said.
Gumbo said the Education ministry has failed to administer credible examinations due to lack of integrity in the docket.
He spoke at Rang'ala Catholic on Sunday during a funds drive.
Gumbo said leaks kill the spirit of fair competition among candidates.
"If the country can print ballot papers outside the country, why can't it opt for the same with examination papers?" he said.
Gumbo said previously, there were no leaks.
The lawmaker said the Education ministry must do away with the current leadership.
Gumbo said administrators are not interested in children's welfare.
They should be removed from office if there is to be sanity in the ministry, he said.
The lawmaker said it is sad to witness exam leaks every year while the ministry administrators do nothing to stop it.
The MP said it is through education that the future can be bright and "when the people in charge play around with the docket, it is like playing with the future of the country".
Gumbo dismissed those saying the exam should be cancelled over the leaks.
He urged the administrators to ensure integrity in future.

very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
