Hunter: Rainer Schorr, 53, features on several YouTube videos talking about wealth management
A Germany multi-millionaire businessman has been named on social media as the killer of the giant elephant in a Zimbabwe game park which caused outrage and grief around the world.
Rainer Schorr is a wealthy equities and real estate fund tycoon whose website bills the company as 'Private Equity and Investment in People, Future and Environment.'
A perfect English speaker, he features on several YouTube videos talking about wealth management and creation.
The website points out that 'in addition to real estate investments RSB is involved in businesses in South Africa and Portugal in the area of industry and telecommunications.'
His office declined to say where he was, only that he was 'unavailable.' It would not comment on the reports that he is the continent's most hated man following the triumphal posting of a picture showing him next to the downed beast.
His RSB website states he is the 'founder, sole shareholder and managing director of the RSB. He relies on 35 years real estate and management experience'.
It goes on to list multi-million euro deals he has brokered on the Frankfurt stock exchange and real estate coups including the development of office buildings and shopping centres between 2001-2004 with sales of approximately €400million (£294million).
The website also highlights investments with companies in Mozambique including Comzatel International GmbH, Berlin which is 'the exclusive licensee for high-speed data transfer for the entire country of Mozambique via the 75 per cent investment in Comzatel Mozambique Lda., Maputo'.

Named on social media: Rainer Schorr (believed to be pictured right) is a wealthy equities and real estate fund tycoon whose website bills the company as 'Private Equity and Investment in People, Future and Environment'
Tusks: The animal was shot dead earlier this month in Gonarezhou National Park in south-east Zimbabwe
RSB also acquired an industrial property in Johannesburg in 2005, 'decontaminated it and built a state-of-the art rock wool factory together with a regional black empowerment group.'
His company offices are in the Europa Centre on Berlin's swanky Tauentziastrasse near the famed KaDeWe department store.
He is 53 but little is known about his private life. He is not listed in the German telephone book.
He was outed on an animal welfare website by a commentator incensed at his picture who wrote: 'This pig is called Rainer Schorr and he comes from Berlin.
'Unfortunately, we were once friends with the guy. But we determined that he is not a decent character.
Sad sight: Its tusks weighed 122 pounds and it is said to have been the biggest elephant shot in living memory
Animal death: The identity of the elephant remains unknown but it is thought to have been in its mid-40s
'He has a farm in Namibia (Twin Hill) on which he could play around, but no: he must shoot an elephant to Zimbabwe. It's disgusting.
'Even though I am a hunter I wouldn't shoot an elephant, lion or similar creature. It's a shame that there are unfortunately such black sheep among us.
'But this is probably the "little man syndrome"... Rainer Schorr has, unfortunately, only a small body size and must probably compensate for it.'
Peta president Ingrid Newkirk said: 'This cowardly, miserable trophy hunter thought he could get away with gunning down a majestic elephant, posing with his corpse, and concealing these despicable actions from the public.'
Less than three months after Cecil the Lion was shot dead, the elephant was killed in Gonarezhou National Park in south-east Zimbabwe on October 8.
The elephant is thought to have been the biggest shot in living memory - and its 122lb tusks were so big that they dragged along the ground, according to the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force.
