A woman has been arrested for attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed her husband during sex because he called out another woman's name.

Christina Balazi, 39, is accused of stabbing her husband multiple times in the neck and chest while they were in bed together in West Palm Beach, Flordia.

He told police that his wife pulled a sheet over his head and attacked him with a kitchen knife. He managed to wrestle her to the ground and take the knife from her before running outside to get help.

Mrs Balazi allegedly shouted, "I'm tired of this", while she ran after him, before getting in her car and fleeing the scene. She was later stopped and arrested after a police chase.

Police said she admitted that she stabbed her husband because he called out the name of another woman during sex.

Her husband of ten years was treated in hospital for seven stab wounds.

Mrs Balazi is said to suffer from bipolar disorder. Earlier this year, she pleaded guilty to stealing jewellery and credit cards for a woman she worked for as a maid.
