{UAH} FARTING: Pensioner Fired For ‘Breaking Wind Too Much At Work’

Pensioner Fired For 'Breaking Wind Too Much At Work'

A man has been fired from his job after allegedly causing a stink at work by breaking wind incessantly.

Pensioner Richard Clem was relieved from his duties at the Case Pork Roll Company in Trenton New Jersey, for high levels of flatulence, according to court documents.

Company president Thomas Dolan reportedly complained and forced Mr Clem to work from home.

Dolan allegedly told his employee: "We cannot run an office and have visitors with the odour in the office.

Mr Clem, 70, is now the subject of a lawsuit after his wife, Louann, claimed that her husband was a victim of discrimination because of his condition.

She said that the firing was a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and that Mr Clem's gassy problem was the result of gastric bypass surgery.

He lost nearly nine stone as a result of the surgery but it has resulted in "extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea."

Before he was fired in 2014, Mr Clem's flatulence caused "significant disruption in the workplace," according to the lawsuit suit.

Mr Clem, who is now suing his previous employers through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, said that he was "speaking up for people who are overweight".

He added to the Huffington Post: "Does being obese mean you can't do a good job? Of course not!"

very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
