{UAH} BUGANDA CONFERENCE BY UCOM YESTERDAY
Friends,
First, I want to again offer sincere, heartfelt congratulations to Owek.Enock Mayanja Kiyaga on becoming the Kabaka's ambassador in the North England! And that was a beautiful conference by the Uganda Community in Manchester(UCOM). It was way up there among the best and I learned a lot:
1- It was really nice to sing the complete version of the entire Buganda national anthem for the 1st time. It has a lot of motivational lines which I had never thought about before.It summarily encourages us to love and defend our kingdom as our 'Abazira abatusooka'';
2- The food was delicious.The bean soup was even better;
3- It was a pleasure meeting Mr.Godfrey Sekisonge and some UMBS brothers for the first time;meeting my mates: Mr.Kasimu Muguluma and Prince Dickson Wasajja again;But most importantly, we did more networking;
4- The gifts I got were awesome;
5- The Baganda and Basoga cultural dancers were so good!
6- All the speeches were awesome particularly that of the UCOM chairperson's. I think Ms.Rehema is today's best model for aspiring Uganda women chair ladies in the UK.She combines a take-charge persona with engaging spontaneity and zest for life....... Notice to all Men, wake up and smell the Coffee.
