{UAH} A MESSAGE FROM HON. NABILAH TO ALL FDCS

You may often hear the media talk and excitement about the state of our country's political system and, specifically, our political parties. However, the term 'political party' isn't something where Members of Parliament , Mayors, chairpersons, Councillors and other political officials have fun all day. Instead, a political party is a group of dedicated people who come together to win elections, operate the government, and determine public policy. So, you can see that this is anything but the fun type of 'party' that we usually think of when we hear the word.

Political parties do a variety of things. There are five main functions that political parties have. Recruiting candidates for public office is one of the most important functions that political parties have. An important goal of political parties is to gain control of the government, and to do this, parties must work to recruit candidates for all elected offices, and I mean all offices. Presidential, District, Sub-County and Parliament!

Now, ‪#‎UgandaDecides2016‬ is here! What's at play? For example, FDC requires over 375 individuals for the opening for Parliament , each other political party will also try and find a person they could support to run for these positions. Are these individuals available? Big Question!!!!

I will confine myself to Kampala! My party FDC has 1 MP(myself) Kampala Woman Representative out of the 9 parliamentary seats in Kampala.!!!!!

@City Hall(KCCA), out of the 33 councillors, FDC has only 2!

@ Makindye Division, out of the 46 Division Councillors, FDC has zero or none!!

@ Nakawa Division, FDC has only 1(one) councillor out of 40

@Central Division, FDC has none or zero out of the 40

@Rubaga, FDC has the mayor, and only 1(One) Councillor out of 40 councillors

@Kawempe Division, FDC has none or zero out of 40 councillors

So guys, politics is about electives! You guys can change the status quo if you want! Supporters who just get excited, write on Social Media do not count unless FDC takes most of these positions!

Now if in Kampala, these are the statistics, how about Bundibugyo, Wakiso, Amudat, Bugiri, Katakwi, Sheema, Buliisa and Koboko???? Fill in the gaps!!!!!!

Translate your support into real offices! From Presidential candidate Dr Besigye to all the other positions!

Please comment as you pick nomination forms for one of those many possible offices!!!
