MPs 'are not against Uhuru on Waiguru' - News

Central Kenya MPs are not against President Uhuru Kenyatta in calling for the resignation of Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.

Mukuruweini MP Kabando wa Kabando said Friday: "It is not for me to judge if she is guilty or not but for the sake of national interest, she should step aside to give the President space to focus on leading the country. I have no doubt she will be vindicated if not guilty," he said.

"The President knows our position and we trust he supports us because he is incorruptible and has zero tolerance to corruption. I personally informed the CS on my position and reservations before going public", said Mr Kabando.

He added: "She could be innocent, even those who stepped aside haven't been proven guilty."

This came even as police maintained Ms Waiguru will be a prosecution witness over the loss of billions of shillings.
