Here is a very brilliant article by William Engdahl. It is not going to change things on the ground, but it explains very concisely the unscrupulous wheeling and dealing behind the scenes between the United States and Saudi Arabia, which has cost the lives of many thousands of Syrian people and displaced many more. It is an international disgrace. We can only hope that the plans never come to fruition.

The ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, is said to establish a Caliphate which would include Israel as an autonomous region known as Greater Israel.
