SV: {UAH} Tycoon Crescent Baguma killed in car crash
Hejsan,
Could this be the Baguma who one time was treasurer of the UPC up to 1971?
Just asking.
May is soul rest.
"...Tubanone blamed the accident on reckless driving. "The driver tried to overtake in a sharp corner and he saw another vehicle coming from the Kampala side. When he tried to go back to his lane, he lost control and the car overturned, killing Baguma and Mugarra instantly."

Rwenzori region is mourning the death of Crescent Baguma Rusoke, a businessman engaged in transport and construction.
He owned a multi-trillion construction company Baguma Crescent Rusoke construction company (BCR).
Baguma, 56, was killed in a nasty car accident at Rwera near Humura trading center a few meters to Kyegegwa town on the Fort Portal-Kampala road on early Friday morning.
The crash left his vehicle, a Prado (UAV 959V) mangled.
Kyegegwa district police commander Joel Tubanone, who was at the scene, told New Vision that Baguma was traveling with two other people identified as Andrew Mugarra and Paul Kato, the driver.
Mugarra also died on the spot while Kato was rushed to Kyegegwa Health Centre IV in critical condition.
Tubanone blamed the accident on reckless driving. "The driver tried to overtake in a sharp corner and he saw another vehicle coming from the Kampala side. When he tried to go back to his lane, he lost control and the car overturned, killing Baguma and Mugarra instantly."
Kato, a resident of Kawempe in Kampala, was later transferred to Mulago hospital for further medical attention.
Richard Rwabuhinga, the Kabarole district LC V chairperson, said Toro has lost a great son, an investor and an enterprising man.
"As an investor, Baguma employed thousands of our children in his company BCR and he was a pillar in the development of the Fort Portal town."
Rwabuhinga also described Baguma as a down town earth man, humble who never showed his riches around. "You could hardly recognize him. He lived a very humble life," he added.
The Bishop of Fort Portal diocese Robert Muhiirwa also paid tribute to the fallen tycoon, who was an ex-semiranian. "It is a big loss to the church. He was a great supporter for the church and we pray for his wife and children in this trying moment."
Victoria Rusoke, the woman MP Kabarole district, described Baguma as a role model to the Batooro in Kampala and Toro at large, and a committed Christian.
Steven Kaliba, former prime minster of Toro kingdom, said Baguma did not only contribute to the kingdom but also to the development of the area.
By the time of writing this, Baguma and Mugarra's bodies were at Mulago hospital and burial arrangement under way.

"But this I know, UPC believed and still believes in
very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
