{UAH} Grand museum projects: India and the world
In the fifth century the world's first university opened at Nalanda, in Bihar, the birthplace of Buddhism. It taught philosophy, comparative medicine, literature, architecture, astronomy and other sciences.
By the time Oxford University opened in 1096, Nalanda had been educating students from Korea, Japan and other parts of Asia for more than 600 years.
