I will show govt my anger, Mbabazi warns

Kalungu.

Go Forward presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi has said he has been provoked enough and threatened to show his anger to President Museveni's government.

Speaking at a rally in Bulakati in Lukaya, Kalungu East constituency, Mr Mbabazi condemned the arrest of one his mobiliser, Hajj Jamil Mutebi from Kalungu, saying it is provocation and has over-stretched his patience.

"I am annoyed and I am about to show my anger to the government. How can you arrest someone because he is my guest at home?' He was referring to Hajj Mutebi who is among the 28 people that were randomly picked at his home in the Monday mid-morning police swoop.

Mr Mbabazi's threat comes close to a fortnight after a team of people dressed in NRM shirts attempted to block his procession in Ntungamo District, leading to clashes between his security team and the intruders.

It also comes a week after the President threatened to personally handle those who were involved in what he termed as beating up NRM supporters, a threat that is believed to have culminated into the police swoop that saw many of his mobilisers and some guards being rounded up by police.

Although Mr Mbabazi did not explain how he intends to show anger to NRM government, one of the ruling party spokespersons, Mr Rogers Mulindwa, disparaged Mr Mbabazi's threats as "kicks of a dying horse".

The latest outburst is the second threat Mr Mbabazi is giving in a space of about one month.
Meanwhile, in Bukomansimbi District, Mr Mbabazi continued to popularise his manifesto, emphasising the sub-county advanced model saying it is the best bet for the people if they want to access better services and change. He said it is through that model that jobs will be created through establishment of initiatives like community banks and the cooperative unions.
