It's more or less confirmed and has been announced by leading media
organs that Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta will be canonized a saint
of the Roman Catholic Church next September 4, 2016 in St Peter's Square Rome, just only 19 years after her death.
One of the world's greatest women, Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta who spent an entire 40 years of her life devoted to the poor, the sick, and the dying, is now going to be listed on the catalogue of saints to honur her heroism as a model of charity. The Pope has just approved a second miracle obtained through her intercession. And this is enough to qualify her for official Church sainthood. the miracle is about a Brazilian man who was almost dying of numerous brain tumors and soon obtained a very rapid full recovery when his wife made special prayers through Mother Theresa's intercession. The miracle happened in 2007 and has been regularly studied and the man followed up by expert scientists and doctors who all confirmed the unexplicable nature of the cure.
The first miracle which led to her beatification was also a miraculous cure of an Indian woman who was in her dyning hours following a lengthy malady from an abdominal tumor.
Mother theresa a Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1979 died in 1997 in Calcutta and she was mourned by the whole world. She was beatified by St John Paul II in 2003 ( a record time ) before a crowd of 300,000 in St Peter's Square! Many poor Indians who attended the ceremony camped in tents around the Square.
This time the canonization taking place in the course of the Holy Jubilee Year of Mercy with millions of pilgrims expected in Rome St Peter's Square will be crammed by hundreds of thjousands of pilgrims, pehaps close to half a million.
Mother theresa left behind her celebrated Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity who now number over 3500 nuns spread worldwide in 400 centres.
News about this canonization has sparked a lot of reaction from all over the globe! Jubilation is reported in India. In France where the holy nun is extremely very popular, all medias have welcomed the news with joy!
In another development very many media personnel who flew to Uganda to follow the Pope's visit have returned to France and they are narrating things which astonish audiences, etc to full emotion about the way Ugandans welcomed Pope Francis! They agree that the Pope was seen there as a real Messiah and a Jesus!!! And that the total number of crowds which cheered him in the few days he spent in the country was in millions!!! And one report expressed surprise on seeing vast crowds of people arriving in Namugongo for the Papal Mass just a full day before the ceremony!
Some adverts about possible safaris in Uganda are now beginning to shoot out praising the beauty of the country and its very jolly people and a numerous dynamic youth!
