Jacqueline Mbabazi, the wife of independent presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi reportedly suffered poisoning with uranium, her daughter Lenina Mbabazi Rukikaire alias Nina has claimed.

Jacqueline was admitted in critical condition at a London hospital last October. This compelled Mbabazi, who had launched a presidential bid, to accompany his wife to Britain just like any concerned husband would do.

Upon return, Mbabazi would later tell a rally at Nakivubo in Kampala that his wife was ill but that he remained hopeful she would recover under the guidance of the topnotch doctors. Jacqueline returned to Uganda in December after three months of treatment and recuperation.

ChimpReports has exclusively learnt that Nina recently told her friends on social media that much as it's true that doctors in London discovered that her mother was suffering from cancer, there were traces of poison in her body system.

In response to a friend who was keen on knowing the status of Jacqueline who was then hospitalized in London, Nina responded: "She will be alright; her hair is supposed to start falling out now."

Nina was responding to the effects of the powerful treatment Jacqueline was experiencing. She added: "She will be fine. The cancer is out. It is the uranium poisoning that the doctors are fighting really." This was the first time that a close family member was opening up on the causes of Jacqueline's strange illnesses.

Nina went ahead to reveal that, "They (doctors) got all the cancer out but they want to be sure it will not start again in another area of the body."

During the WhatsApp conversation, a friend suggested that the illness could be treated using local herbs, to which Nina promised to make a follow-up call.

Nina went ahead to disclose that, "The doctors in London found a radioactive poison in her blood. It was ingested."

She said the doctors were then "investigating which exact combination of uranium it is." Nina promised to give more details when the "final report (medical) is out."

ChimpReports could not independently authenticate Nina's claims. However, this website can confidently confirm Nina made the claims as she used her known mobile phone number in the WhatApp conversation.

The former Prime Minister's daughter and key strategist of the Go Forward campaign did not point a finger at those she suspects of having reportedly poisoned her mother.
