Just to get an understanding of these numbers, the population of the city of Baltimore Maryland is about 650,000. In 2015 that city had 344 homicides, thus the numbers 2015 Baltimore City Homicides/Murders - List and Map.  Now to put that into perspective, the population of Toronto is just above three million people, and we had 57 homicides in 2015. And that number is pretty normal.
